Mickey has almost ten years of experience in climate change advocacy, urban planning and sustainable finance in East and Southeast Asia and the UK. He had previously worked for CAN as the Regional Campaigns Communications Officer for Asia and more recently as Communications Consultant for the Shifting Financial Flows Towards Low Carbon Development in Southeast Asia (SHIFT-SEA) Project.
He has also worked in the climate movement with Climate Reality Philippines and as 350.org's East Asia Organizer, as well as in technical positions with MSCI ESG Research and the Philippines' Climate Change Commission.
He has a BSc degree in Geography and recently finished his postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester with a dissertation on low carbon city development and climate justice in the Global South. In his spare time, he enjoys vlogging and travel photography, and volunteers for the LGBT and youth movements in his home country.
Mickey is particularly excited to help translate CAN's meaningful work into fresh, creative and engaging storytelling in a business unusual and transformative way!
