WWF Sweden

The foundation WWF was founded in 1971 with the purpose of contributing financially to the international operations of WWF as well as setting aside funds for Swedish research, education and practical nature conservation work. The majority of WWF Sweden's current conservation work is internally managed by the organization.

The primary focus for this work is to preserve biodiversity and to ENSURE the sustainable use of natural resources, both within Sweden and globally. Today, the priorities of the conservation work in Sweden are: Forests, Climate, Baltic Sea, Marine, Cultural landscapes and Education & Youth.

The focus for our climate work is to see that Sweden becomes a world leader of climate-smart energy solutions which can eventually be exported to rapidly developing nations like China and India.
