WWF- Italy

WWF Italy addresses global threats to people and nature such as climate change, the peril to endangered species and habitats and the unsustainable consumptions of the world’s natural resources. WWF Italy strives to build partnerships with other organizations, governments, business ad local communities to enhance effectiveness of its work and it uses the best available scientific information to address issues and critically evaluate all its endeavours.

The Italian Association is a charity and Non Governmental Organization (NGO). In Italy, WWF was founded in 1966. Today it has more than 300.000 members, and has become the biggest environmental association of our country. WWF manages more than 100 protected areas called "Oases" and other natural reserves.

WWF’s Mission is to stop the degradation of the Planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with Nature, by:

• conserving the world’s biological diversity
• ensuring that the use of renewable resources is sustainable
