To adequately slow climate change we must urgently reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. We are leveraging the power of WWF’s network of organizations around the world to build support for global climate action.
Promoting domestic and international efforts to reduce global emissions of greenhouse gases to at least 80% below 1990 levels by 2050, WWF is calling on the U.S. Congress and Administration to act decisively on climate change. Combining global outreach with local expertise WWF has led a variety of adaptation and resilience projects around the world, published leading text on climate change issues, and established the global initiative Earth Hour, when millions of people around the world cast a vote in favor of action on climate change.
