The World Future Council pursues the implementation of long-term policies that promote sustainable living in order to secure the rights of future generations to inhabit a healthy and intact world.
Humanity has failed to respond adequately to the many global crises despite clearly having the means to do so. With the help of its unique global network the WFC challenges short-term thinking at the highest political levels in order to change the rules and frameworks of global governance.
The WFC Commission on Climate and Energy addresses this question in order to overcome the serious gaps in policy action and implementation. It focuses on the following working areas: renewable energy, cities and climate finance.
