Winrock International is a non-profit organization with its headquarter based in Arkansas, USA, with a global network of 65 countries spanning Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Winrock Nepal is committed to building human capacity, creating long-term relationships, managing effectively, communicating openly and promoting teamwork in order to create lasting solutions based on good science and sound economics. We match innovative approaches in agriculture, natural resource management, clean energy and leadership development with the unique needs of rural communities in order to catalyze long term productivity, equity and responsible resource management. Our mission is to help the poor and disadvantaged.
Primary Initiatives, Target Populations, and Scope of Work:
Winrock International Nepal's initiatives are focused mainly within Nepal at present. In almost 3 decades of working experience in Nepal, Winrock International has periodically shifted program focus to address the current needs of the country. Keeping with Winrock International's global mission: 'To work with people to build a better world by increasing agricultural productivity and rural development while protecting the environment', the present day Winrock Nepal conducts activities to increase economic opportunity, sustain natural resources, and protect the environment under the following programs: Agriculture; Clean Energy; Farmer to Farmer; Leadership Development; and Forestry & Natural Resource Management.
