
Bangladesh Auxiliary Services for Social Advancement is a non-government, non-profit, non-political, humanitarian, socio-economic developmental local voluntary organization, established in the year 1990 with the cooperation and untiring efforts of few professional and well experienced social workers who had been working with several international and national NGO’s in the field of rural and urban development. This was established with the philanthropic ideas to find out appropriate ways of solving the multifarious problems in the society and promoting the socio-economic condition of the landless, poor destitute and the oppressed multitude through mobilization and utilization of local and other available resources.
Our main focus is on Education: Formal and non- formal (adult-literacy), Health Care: Preventive and curative, Economic Development Programs: such as savings groups, small scale income generating groups, credit programs, women development, agriculture, fishery, skill development, etc. We also have programs on leadership training, socio-cultural activities, human rights and dignity of less-privileged people of Bangladesh, especially the priority is given to the destitute women in the south-west rural areas of the country.
BASSA is committed for the overall development of the underprivileged people such as destitute women and children of the rural and urban slum areas, deaf mute, blind people and those who are mentally retarded and physically unfit and deprived of living normal life, the landless and marginal farmers, daily labourers, weavers, fishermen, boatmen, potters, hawkers, unemployed youth, rickshaw pullers and vagrants through providing appropriate educational, job oriented and vocational trainings for their self-reliance.

BASSA envisages such a society where every human being, irrespective of caste, creed & religion can enjoy the sanctity of lives with self-sufficiency. A society where remains good governance , democratic values, peace, harmony, patience, freedom, dignity, equality, happiness and secularism which are free from exploitation, oppression, hunger, fundamentalism, malpractice, backwardness and heinous activities.
