Isaac Kabongo is the Chairperson Climate Action Network Uganda (CAN-U) and the Executive Director of Ecological Christian Organization (www.ecouganda.org). He serves as the Vice Chairperson of Africa Coalition for Sustainable Energy and Access (ACSEA) and is a member of Climate Action Network Africa Working Group. He has worked at the community, national and international levels and has participated in the design and implementation of different climate related campaigns and development initiatives nationally and globally. He has written a number of policy papers and briefs on climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, climate justice, climate finance, agro-ecology, food sovereignty and renewable energy. Isaac loves football and he trains with a local football team. He also promotes community based ecotourism. He lives and works in Kampala, Uganda - the Pear of Africa.
