Anna joined CAN in January 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese studies from the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Along her studies, she developed an expressed interest in renewable energy policies to support sustainable, low-carbon economic growth.
For this reason, Anna completed an interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Modern East Asian Studies from the Goethe University which helped her approaching climate change and energy topics from different angles. Afterwards, she decided to focus on the political aspects and went on to obtain a Master of Science in Asian Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Most recently, Anna has been interested in strategies to support the implementation of policies and subsequently interned at the United Nations Office for REDD+ Coordination in Indonesia.
Anna is exited to take the next step to support climate change policy implementation and coordination by working with CAN-International.
