The concern for quality of life and water quality in our watershed led to the establishment of Bathurst Sustainable Development in 1998. The overall objective was to set up a long-term mechanism for the communication and action among government, business and the community, to encourage residents to take a more active part in mitigating the impact of watershed effluent in the Nepisiguit Drainage Basin and addressing Climate Change.
