Energy efficiency – doing more with less energy – is a simple concept that reaps major benefits. For that reason, energy efficiency should always be part of the solution to energy and environmental challenges, here in the United States and abroad.

It’s What We Do

Born out of the oil embargo of the 1970s, the Alliance to Save Energy set out to improve the efficiency of America’s energy resources to ensure that we never use more energy that we need to.

We’ve Had Great Results

We’ve worked with a lot of different people and groups to:

  • Prove that business can be efficient and make money at the same time.
  • Educate consumers about the impact of energy choices – especially on their wallets.
  • Ensure that lawmakers build smart and fiscally sound energy policy.
  • Carry the message of efficiency to established and developing economies around the globe

We’re Not Done

We’ll continue to build coalitions, drive energy policy and empower consumers and to realize energy efficiency as the quickest, easiest and cheapest road to a new energy future.
