EU-ETS experiences from Finland

Environmental pros and cons of EU-ETS in Finland
+ The common EU system has increased the acceptance of the ET+ Better competitiveness for wood based energy
- Competitiveness of new technologies did not increase enough, also subsidies are needed
-> Post 2012 targets are needed soon to create long term commitment to emission reductions
