Call for proposals from recruitment companies/consultancies

Deadline: 24 May 2019

The Climate Action Network (CAN) is a worldwide network of over 1300 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in more than 120 countries, working to promote government and individual action to limit human-induced climate change to ecologically sustainable levels.

CAN members work to achieve this goal through information exchange and the coordinated development of NGO strategy on international, regional, and national climate issues. CAN has regional network hubs that coordinate these efforts around the world.

The CAN International Secretariat is the main coordinating body for CAN. It is headed up by an Executive Director who is the figurehead for the network. The Executive Director reports to the CAN Board.  While the organisation is legally registered in Germany, the Secretariat team works virtually from different countries.

CAN International seeks to appoint a suitable company with experience in global recruitment of senior staff for global NGOs.

The successful company will be required to work with the Board to refine the draft  process and timeline for the recruitment of a new Executive Director, refine the draft job description, assist with headhunting/advertising for suitable candidates, screen applicants, provide a shortlist, assist the Board with setting up recruitment panels and managing interviews, and handling the offer of employment. This is not an exhaustive task list. If other steps are required, these can be included in the proposal.

Companies are requested to submit a proposal by no later than Friday 24 May 2019 to canrecruitment2019@gmail.com

Queries to be sent BY EMAIL ONLY to Mr. Isaac Kabongo, CAN International Board member at ed@ecouganda.org
